Visit Grand Mosque (Sheikh Zayed Mosque)

When I saw the Mosque the first word out of my mouth was WOW!! I was totally blown away by the beauty and the size of the mosque. Amazing details on the interiors and even outside. I have visited twice and I always enjoy it. Although I am Catholic, I found myself happy that our fellow faithful Muslim brothers and sisters really go out of their way to prepare such house of praise to glorify Allah! It feels like a palace. I have never seen anything quite like it. 

Admire Emirates Palace

It is definitely the most jaw-dropping sight in the capital city. The seven star Emirates Palace, 

The Emirates palace is beautiful. It took more than 10 years to build and there is obvious attention to every detail, with the accents being on gold, and luxury. It's a huge hotel and you can get plenty of exercise just walking from end to end. You can drink coffee with some 24 carat golden flakes. (If you fancy it).

Yas Mall

Amazing place with lots of shopping options. This place a has almost all the brands with lot more options for food. Almost all kinds of cuisine famous in this part of the world. The VOX cinemas has 20 theatres with a big 500 seater auditorium.

Ferrari World Abu Dhabi

Ferrari World Abu Dhabi is an amazing place to spend the day as it has a lot to offer for sure. I got the opportunity to ride the worlds fastest roller coaster and it was an extremely thrilling experience. The tickets are priced at AED 275 which is quiet pricey but worth the time you get to spend there. Formula Rossa tends to get crowded quiet quickly and I recommend you get into the ride the first thing you enter into Ferrari World. Other than that there is a lot in store for you to see in terms of shows, Ferrari Showcases and Yummy food at the food court. I suggest get there early in the day when the park opens else you will end up with a lot of wait time at the rides. The merchandise is really expensive and you can pretty much get quiet a few of it online for cheap.

Relax in the Corniche

The Corniche is a great place to relax and spend some quite evening hours. It is also one of the few places you can go for a long walk. It gives a wonderful view of the marina island at one end to Mina at the other. It also has a dedicated cycling track. Along the Corniche there are bikes for hire near the west end for those who fancy a bike ride and there is a cycle path although many people cycle. Excellent place with kids and for a mini family outing. 

Swim Corniche Beach

Take a day to enjoy the place. Beautiful beach with white sands. Very clean water and quite easy to park your car around the beach. Take your own towel there and enjoy it.

Marina Mall

Marina mall has a really nice combination of shops. You can find very good offers and cheap shops in addition to very high end luxuries shops. Parking is okay as it has a huge parking lot. Outside you call walk around corniche for excercise and sight seeing.

Etihad Towers

Take a picture in the famous Etihad Towers (This place was part of the Latest Fast &Furious Film before paul walker die). Go either in Marina Mall or Corniche to get the best shots of Etihad towers.

Take A Ride at the Big Bus Tours Abu Dhabi

This tour takes you around the city of Abu Dhabi. We enjoyed the tours. The kids loved the double decker bus because they could see all of the sights we passed by specially the view of Ferrari world and Yas water world. Staff are very friendly and happy to help with directions when you get on and off the bus.

Visit the Abu Dhabi Mall 

It may be small compared to today's mall standards but Abu Dhabi Mall has an adequate array of attractions to choose from. It has a very decent collection of shops, restaurants, cinema, recreational areas, etc. Not to mention it has a basement parking. Strategically located at the old Tourist Club area and just across the newly developed Al Maryah and Al Reem islands. It also features a newly renovated foodcourt with a panoramic view of the said islands. (This Mall is just 5mins walk from My Aunt Apartment  so I usually Go here twice a week) Tips: The 1st bus stop going to the Abu dhabi Airport can be found here and it cost only 4Dirhams compared to taxi that range around 80.

Things To Visit and Do's in Ho Chi Minh City

Ho Chi Minh also known as Saigon may not be a city of grand monuments, museums or even 

beautiful Structures and architectures but there are plenty of things to see and to keep you busy. 

Ride A Motorbike

Tour Saigon on the back of a motorbike - it’s a great way to see the city and feel like a local.

Saigon Notre Dame Cathedral

The cathedral itself is a beautiful building with many French influences. Go inside and see the stained glass and classical architecture. I thought the real excitement was outside. It was amazing to see all the young couples dressed in formal clothes and bridal attire getting professional photographs taken. All in all, it was a nice introduction to Saigon.

Central Post Office

The most beautiful post office I have visited. Be sure to go inside and check out the hand painted maps of Saigon and surrounds. 

The building is really impressive and looks more like a train station. Inside you can send free post cards and there are old fashioned telephone booths that are fun for photos.

Cu Chi Tunnels  

If you've never been to Vietnam before or want to learn more about the Vietnam War, it's definitely

worth taking a trip to Cu Chi Tunnels. 

I expected it to be more exciting. The tunnels you can go inside are only for tourist purposes. The real tunnels are much too narrow. For the distance away from the city, the pictures would have been 

suffice. Wasn't as adventurous as I had pictured but then It was great experience.  However, was 

informative and historically interesting.The Vietnamese were certainly fierce warriors. Very harsh

living conditions. 

Emperor Jade Pagoda (Chua Ngoc Hoang or Phuoc Hai Tu)

 It is a fairly small temple but with long historic culture and value. You can buy joss stick within the temple ground and do your offerings. Do remember to check out level 2 of the temple which is also 

accessible to public.

Come here after you have visited other places but don't expect too much. It's a small place but worth to visit

War Remnants Museum

The museum is well organised, you should start on the top floor and work your way down. The galleries are numbered and arrowed so it makes it easy to navigate through chronologically.

Some photos are very graphic, however they're an important documentation of how the Vietnam/American war played out.

Outside there's a range of tanks and planes you can explore, but I didn't take picture to it. not really our thing. 

Cao Dai Temple

A beautiful and unique temple. The exterior design is said to be influenced by multiple religion. The interior design, is said to represent the 3 beliefs of the religion (Buddhism, Taoism & Confucianism), is very vibrant and colourful.

We arrived just before the noon prayers began. The preparation leading up to it was done in a very orderly manner. The music and chants were peaceful and calm. 

It's a bit far from other attractions, but worth the visit.

Saigon Opera House

Extraordinary architecture both inside and outside. Unfortunately, it's not opened for public visit. You must watch the show to go inside the theater.

Reunification Palace

I greatly enjoyed the Independence Palace, it gives you a great sense of Vietnam's past and provided an understanding that Ho Chi Minh did unite the North and the South and this was the best future for Vietnams past and present.

The rooms are beautifully furnished and although decorated many years ago are still stylish and timeless in style. It would be a great shame for visitors to Vietnam not to visit this beautiful tourist site.

Ben Thanh Market

Get ready to bargain and once you start don't back down. Go with an idea of what you want .

the market has what felt like hundreds of stalls selling products ranging from clothing to food.

 Beware of prices and check around because identical items will vary in prices dependent upon seller. It was often very overwhelming because of noise and crowds.

Been there, done Vietnam? Looking for a city escape with colonial charm and all the sights, sounds

 and smells of Southeast Asia, with just few hours land travel from vietnam? Consider a trip to the

'Paris of the East', Phnom Penh.

 Here are My Top 10 must -sees and dos in Cambodia's Exotic & Beautiful capital. 

(in no particular order)

1. INDEPENDENCE MONUMENT

We all know Cambodia has suffered a lot under the iron fist of some of the dictators in the past.

This is tribute monument built in 1958 to celebrate leaving France and becoming legally Independent. So it's nice to see this well crafted monument in the heart of the capital city. This tour does not take

up too much time as there is basically nothing to do but take a few photos and be on your way. 

2. ROYAL PALACE Phnom Penh

You can tour inside during the day & see amazing architecture along with history. It is still used as the residential palace. At night it's beautifully lit up & is best seen from the park lands along the river 

side. All the local people gather at night in the cool evenings to enjoy reading & playing in the grassed parkland. You can see it on your way to the night markets or vice verse. Free to walk past & see at

night. Great photography to be had. 

3. KILLING FIELDS 

Sorry If I smile in the photo's (the story of this place is very heart breaking)

It will be a sad day of touring the Killing Fields and S21 but you have to do it. It's a big part of Cambodia's history and the more we learn about the past, the more we can do to ensure this never happens again in the future. The audio tour is very well done and highly informative. In addition to letting you
proceed at your own pace, the audio tour incorporates history with actual narratives of victims and 
survivors that will leave a deep impact. You hear about the history a bit in your social studies class,
 but seeing the places in person makes it really hit home. There was even a survivor there selling his 
book. The pieces of personal items you see scattered across the fields bring on lots of emotions and
hopefully it will inspire all of us to work hard to ensure the next generation doesn't have to ever go
 through this. This is not to be missed! 

4. S-21 TUOL SLENG GENOCIDE MUSEUM

An important part of Phnom Penh's brutal and bloody history. Tuol Sleng Museum, the complex used a secondary school until in 1975. Then the complex was occupied by the Khmer Rouge and used as a prison. The prison, known as S21 eventually became the place where most of the prisoners have been tortured and murdered. S21 Prison stands as a monument to the 17,000 men, women and children

who were murdered or imprisoned here, as well as the only eight survivors. 

4.SISOWATH QUAY

A lovely promenade, that's equally popular with locals. Take a stroll along the banks of the Tonle Sap River, beneath flags of the world, alongside flower sellers and food carts. You might also wander 

inadvertently into the middle of a game of soccer or volleyball. On the other side of the road is a 

plethora of bars and restaurants, most with happy hours, so you really can make an evening of it.

5. NATIONAL MUSEUM OF CAMBODIA

The National Museum helps the tourist shape the historical identity of Cambodia. There is more than just the killing fields to Cambodia and this museum is so much worth the visit in order to see, Lear, 

understand the incredible old history of this great society. Also the Museum Fascinated by the wonderful statues of the great kings of the former Angkor Empire. This place is filled with the spirits of the

 past.

6. WAT BOTUM TEMPLE

Beautiful temple complex!! The inside of the largest building here is just breath taking, huge golden 

buddhas and highly decorated ceiling and walls.

7. ELEPHANT BAR

The elephant Bar is located in the Royal Raffles Hotel in Phnom Penh, just turn right when you enter the lobby. The decor is sumptuous with a dominant colonial taste that could help you feel like 

decades ago. the drink list is absolutely amazing, probably the longest and more comprehensive in

town. Many cocktails, classics and more innovative are on offer also. to help guests make their 

choice, a interesting flavor map was created.

8. RUSSIAN MARKET

This is one big covered market with numerous shops selling everything that anyone may ever need in their lives and all available under one roof. There are small areas for everything and numerous gates

 to enter and exit. When you get tired with the wandering then you can just head to the centre of the 

market, eat and restart exploring this place.

9. TRY TO TASTE THE CAMBODIAN CUISINE

Squished between culinary heavyweights Cambodia is often overlooked when it comes to food. But once you've sampled Khmer cuisine, you won't turn back. Try to eat the Fish amok the most well-known Cambodian dishes, but you'll find similar meals in neighboring countries.

10. BAG A BARGAIN AT THE CENTRAL MARKET

this market has good range of goods for reasonable price. however you can bargain up to 30% and

 buy. you can use USD in that market so Look for some Cambodian tat to take back to friends and 

loved ones? Pick up some bargains on clothes, bags, foods and even the odd original handicraft at the Central Market. It's worth it for the souvenirs and the market's impressive 1930s Art Deco 

architecture, plus there's plenty of opportunity to brush up on your haggling skills. Isn’t cool?
